Inspired by their grandmother's offer to teach them the skill of breeding Queen bees two sisters took over the family's honey making business to breed a special species of Queen bee, more resilient against such diseases as Varroa mite.

The sisters enthusiasm for bees was based on their admiration for this tiny insect with the ability of each one to collect up to a tea-spoon of honey in a lifetime. The sisters also saw what they were doing as helping to save the environment with bees being under threat and important to the world food economy.
