Acton Downs is a sheep and beef finishing operation. Duckpond cottage is on a hill over looking the duck pond and has beautiful landscape views with visitors able to watch farm activities from the comfort of a large deck or in front of a cosy fire.

The world can be turned off and visitors can enjoy the solitude, the night sky and the beautiful sound of animals and nature. A developing wetland can also be visited. Good fishing rivers and The Round the Mountains cycleway are all close by.

Acton Downs is conveniently situated halfway between Queenstown and Fiordland. A fully self contained 'Retro' cottage is available with three bedrooms (two Queen and one King single) for a minimum of two nights at $160 for two people per night, $25 for more than two people and with discounts for over a week stay. Farm tours and walks are included in those prices.
