Tiniroto Tavern

The Tiniroto Tavern, has an interesting history with many Taverns having been built on the current site since the 1890's. In the early days the Taverns were used as stop-overs for the coaches running between Waerenga-O-Kuri and Marumaru.

The Tiniroto tavern is currently closed.

The current Tavern, dating back to 1925, is from a bygone era where good food, a long yarn with a beer in hand, is still the order of the day. In the summer time the Tavern is a popular place for people to visit from all over the world. There are lots of community events at the Tavern including the Esater Game Hunt and a Mountain Oyster competition. The Tavern provides good wholesome meals for all occasions and is a place for friends and family alike to gather and enjoy good times together, singing and laughing to the sound of music.
