Growing Lavender

Starting with just two plants which gave rise to hundreds of cuttings a young couple have established NZ's first lavender farm at their Nelson property.

Thirty years on, their farm, now run by the couple's children and with an oil distillery and a nursery with 40 lavender varieties attached, tourists flock to the lavender farm to sample and buy the lavender fragrances on offer.
