Hurunui Hills

Hurunui Hills is a hill country farm in North Canterbury situated among the rolling hill country of the Hurunui high country. Our whanau have been guardians of this land since 1884. Six generations have focused on producing premium sheep and Angus cattle.

Island Hills Station

Island Hills Station is a working high country station farmed by the fourth generation Shand family. Located only 20 minutes inland from the historic Hurunui Hotel on the way to Hanmer Springs the farm offers a range of unique walking, hunting and conversation opportunities.

Landscape beautification

A couple with a vision for transforming their farm into a model of sustainable land management received a grant from Air New Zealand's Environmental Trust for $450,000 to plant 85,000 trees, including fruit and nut, natives and amenity trees.

Levack Forestry

Hamish is a fellow of the New Zealand Institute of Forestry, and past President of the New Zealand Farm Forestry Association.
